Kaya Ugorji is a multidisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles, CA. As an artist with a background in fashion design, photography, and creative direction, Kaya is a champion of the arts. She discovered her passion for acting in high school, but took a hiatus from the world of the dramatic arts in college in order to focus on her studies in fashion and design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, NY. Once she graduated with her associates degree in fashion design and her bachelors degree in styling, she moved to Los Angeles, CA to pursue a career in fashion entertainment. Being in Hollywood encouraged her to revisit her love of acting, so she found her way back to the theatre. It was important to her to also find ways to incorporate her love of fashion, art, and design into her life and career, so she decided to launch Doun Gallery: a company where she could share her creative projects and ideas, initiate discussions on art and design, and collaborate with other artists and creatives.
